Dúo compuesto por el productor venezolano Emmerson, quien ha trabajado y editado para distintos sellos como Vibez Recordings, Disboot, Dubkraft Records y parte del colectivo Abstractor, y Daniel Klauser; dj-productor chileno de 19 años que ya ha publicado por Dbty Records (Suecia) y Antartek Records (Holanda). El dúo mezcla la música electrónica con ritmos étnicos de Suramerica, logrando así un particular sonido influenciado por la electrónica de los noventa (Garage, 2step) y el actual Uk Funky, pero siempre entregando una identidad latina.

This duo is composed by the venezuelan producer Emmerson, who already released his works in several labels as Disboot (Barcelona, Sp), Dubkraft Records, Vibez Recordings (UK) and part of the Abstractor Collective, and Daniel Klauser a 19 years old chilean dj-producer who has some releases on his belt in labels like Dbty Records (Sweden) and Antartek (Holland). Their music is a mix of ethnic percussive rhythms from southamerica but using the blueprint of Uk Funky, 2 step and garage aswell.

El proceso fué mas o menos así: Hanuman hacía una parte del mix, unos 15 minutos por ejemplo, y se los pasaba por archivo a WordTheCat. Este se tomaba su tiempo, continuaba grabando los siguiente 10 o 15 minutos y se lo pasaba de vuelta y así sucesivamente hasta llegar a ésta maravillosa hora de música que se pasea entre el folk, el garage, el house, el juke y hasta el ragga, entre otros géneros inclasificables. The new episode of the unique Abstractor Podcast Series comes all the way from the UK and its a Back-To-Back Mix by Hanuman & Wordthecat.
It was an interesting process: Hanuman would put together 15 minutos of music or so, and send it to WordTheCat. Days, weeks or perhaps months later WordTheCat would build some new 15 minutes for this mix and send it back to Hanuman and so on for some good 6 months. The result is this exclusive podcast for abstractor, a mix that is special and full of surprises going from folk music to uk garage to bass house to juke ragga and beyond. Nehuen is a tropical bass music head who moved from Buenos Aires to Barcelona on 2005. As part of the B.Low monthly dubstep night he has become a reference name for the Barcelona scene. His production has been on constant rise in the past few months with releases on labels such as Disboot and Iberian Records. The quality of his work, his obsession with the Roland TR-808 drum machine and his friendship with Cardopusher, Emmerson and other venezuelans made him one of the key founders of Abstractor earlier this year.
His dj sets are mainly driven by rythm and heat, combining dubstep with house music, kuduro, funky, and this mix is a reflexion of such tastes. In his own words, this is a mainly a ¨Barcelona – Caracas selection combined with some of my my other favourite tunes of the year¨.
Nehuen es un productor & dj argentino obsesionado con el bass music y todo lo que huela a tropical. Luego de mudarse a Barcelona en el 2005, se ha ido dando a conocer a través de su residencia en las fiestas de dubstep B.LOW, las más importantes de la ciudad. Su producción original ha estado en constante ascenso a lo largo de los últimos meses con discos editados en sellos como Disboot e Iberian Records. La calidad de su trabajo, su fijación con el drum machine Roland TR-808 y su amistad con Cardopusher, Emmerson y otros venezolanos lo llevaron a ser uno de los fundadores de Abstractor a principios de 2010.
Sus mezclas se dejan llevar por el ritmo, el calor y combinaciones de dubstep, house music, kuduro y funky. Este mix es un reflejo de esos gustos y en sus propias palabras ¨es una seleccion barcelona-caracas, mezclado con las cosas que mas me han gustado este año¨.
